For donating fruits to troops of monkeys in rural areas.

Dear Sir/Madam, Chittoor district has received very little rainfall. A forest—home to troops of monkeys numbering around 10,000—is located just 20 kilometers away from the area served by the Rural Physically Handicapped Centre for Rehabilitation. Due to the lack of rain over the past few years, the fruit-bearing trees in the forest have completely dried up, leaving the monkeys without access to drinking water or food. Consequently, these troops have started venturing into nearby villages in search of sustenance, where they completely destroy the crops cultivated by farmers. Many farmers have largely stopped farming out of fear of these monkeys. Farmers are resorting to secretly killing them, while others die from encounters with stray dogs or electric wires; some even perish due to starvation. The situation for these monkeys in the rural area is dire. If they were provided with a full meal of fruit daily, they would not disturb the crops. We could save many of these monkeys if fruit donations were made. Please support this initiative.
